O Family

You'll recognise this couple from an earlier wedding post. It was great fun working with them again and their little boy is so gorgeous. What a happy, busy little boy.

The boy next door.

This little man lives next door to me, and he's always popping around for some play time with my kids. Even though he is only 2, he fits right in with all the boys and girls in the street. As you can see from the first pic, he wasn't quite sure whether this was his thing, but after a while he got right into it. Still like the pic though, and it just goes to show that you don't always have to smile to make a great photo.

I did this photoshoot a few months ago. Baby was 2 weeks old, and so adorable. He was a little fussy at first, but we got him settled and he was a real champ. Newborn baby photography is fast becoming a favourite of mine. Newborns are best photographed wearing nothing. I try and arrange the photoshoot at home where the baby is most comfortable, bear in mind that I need lots of natural light.

Sara-Lee's Matric Ball

I've known Sara since she was grade 8. She & Zorina were my models for make-up artistry exams. Sara has the most amazing eyes & lips, I love doing her make-up. Her mother booked me for her matric ball a year in advance, how organised is that.

Matric Balls are such fun and filled with lots of excitement, so it's really great to be part of the whole experience.

Baby F

This is the baby that got me hooked on newborn baby photography. She was less than 3 weeks old, ideally they should be between 5 & 10 days old, as they are still quite supple and used to being in odd positions in utero and they're very sleepy. This was such a wonderful experience as babies are, just so adorable and warm and they smell so good. She was just such a star, and once we got her off to sleep, she allowed us to try all sorts of things with her, as you'll see from the pics. This type of photography is great and can be done quickly, but the baby has to be asleep, if not then it's just not going to happen.
